WBS Web Based Jobsearch Support
Date du début: 1 janv. 2010,

The European Employment Strategy states all adult unemployed should access career guidance, so to better identify their needs, draw personalized reemployment action plan, get assistance during job search. Career guidance delivery is often very expensive because, traditionally, is provided by professional advisers and carried out in small groups or through one to one counselling. ICT allow to supply effective information and guidance to a wide audience, regardless of distance and business hours. Recent developments have pointed out ICT-based tools such as social networking websites (websites structured in a way to maximize interactions between users and to create virtual communities of people sharing the same condition, difficulty or interest) are proving a powerful mean for promoting peer to peer support and improving further access to services. The Project WBS Web Based Jobsearch Support will develop, pilot and exploit a methodology based on a social networking website to deliver career guidance at a distance to adults unemployed. The Project is submitted by two national PES and four research and training organizations specialized on career guidance and ICT. Six other national and regional PES will participate as associate partners. Thanks to the involvement of PES, a total of 300.000 unemployed of 8 EU countries will be informed about the Project, and over 3000 will participate in pilot and exploitation. Project coordinator will be ASEV Agenzia Sviluppo Empolese Valdelsa, http://www.agenziasviluppo.it/ an organization created by municipalities and social partners in the surround of Florence, Italy.
