Water has an important influence on each participating city of this project.The sea or the river nearby each patnerschool has a huge impact on history, economics, commerce, trading & jobs, on culture, art & music, fashion & mode, citystructure & public transport.It determinates the daily life, the free time, the lifestyle of the pupils and their choice of studies and jobs.They will make inquieries oral & written.Therefore they will contact & meet pupils & teachers in own school & partnerschools, parents, local traders, shopkeepers, merchants & politicians.They will investigate the relationship between water and history, commerce, social and city-structures, mobility & public transport, try out food related to water ( fish f.e.), look for a song, a text, a painting related to water, design clothes.The pupils in Blankenberge will sell some schoolmade products in their shop.All partners will have to take decisions in own school and in coöperation with their foreign partners .Regularly, they'll elaborate this information in their class, exchange the data with their partners, present the relevant results in a diary-book.They'll bring the final results on a dvd, & invite schoolpartners, parents, local comunities & press for a final presentation & exhibition in each partnerschool.This project will give them the opportunity to meet other cultures, to open their mind, enlarge their boarders, become more selfconfident, surpass the frontiers, take the first step to meet other cultures.To work together.Finally this experience will be useful in their future life & job : they'll become real European citizens, ready to trade with foreign partners, to live in a world where boarders disappear & people often travel & trade beyond frontiers.
