PROJET
TERMINÉ
The two-year project involves the participation of teachers in professional development and learning the English language, which will be used to implement the concept of the school, including raising the quality of teaching and education. The theme of the planned activities is to promote a healthy lifestyle and arousing pupils` curiosity of the natural phenomena from an early age.
The participants of the planned mobilities will be a group of 15 teachers who are excellent educators and also have other features like: excellent activity, openness to new methods and forms of work and are able to acquire competence that will help them become leaders in the implementation of project activities. The participating teachers represent different groups of educators( early stage teachers, subject teachers, therapists and school administration) which will enable to involve all areas of school work into project activities.
The project activities will also include other teachers, and all the students of the school will benefit from the project.
Project activities will be focused on:
- promoting a healthy lifestyle from an early age - including: raising awareness of the need for physical activity, sport and promotion of healthy eating and a balanced diet,
- stimulating and satisfying students natural curiosity through experience - including implementing inquiry-based creative approach through hands-on and reflection teaching methods in early years education,
- improving communication skills in English by teachers and students, introducing elements of English in early years education (CLIL), exchange of teachers experiences with teachers of the EU countries, activating eTwinning, as well as promoting knowledge of the culture and traditions of European countries
Activities planned in the project will be realized by means of activating methods, including research method (IBSE), using modern means of communication and multimedia, as well as experience gained while organizing outdoor classes within the currently run European project (Lively Outdoor Learning -LOL).
Implementation of the project will enable the achievement of the following objectives:
- acquiring basic competencies by the students including: science and technology, natural sciences, social and civic, communication in both their native language and English, and using modern information and communication technologies, learning skills as a way of satisfying natural curiosity of the world and preparing for further education, forming the habit of physical activity in order to build a positive self-image as a fit, healthy and active person
-developing by teachers following competencies: ability to work in a multicultural and socially diverse class, ability to create favorable conditions for learning (including the ability to make their students researchers), ability to integrate information and communication technology to everyday students1life, skills to cooperate with the local community members and parents, lifelong learning skills
As a result of realization of the planned project activities the school will get the following results:
- Raise the European dimension of the school,
- Improve the quality of work
- Improve the integration of school and local communities around the activities carried out by the school during the project
- Promote the school in the local environment
The project when finished will impact the school both internally and externally as an educating organization also including promoting programs conducted as part of the Erasmus +.
Long-term benefits will involve introduction of the matters developed by participation in the program to the school curriculum and educational program (physical activity and healthy eating, experiencing nature in early childhood education, the introduction of elements of the English language into classes by teachers of early childhood education), using modern methods of work, including a wide use of multimedia.
