The goal of the „Toward Europe – enhancing the potential of our organisation in the field of international cooperation promotion and realisation” project is to prepare and motivate a group of educators, actors and – above all – volunteers from our organisation to undertake work in order: - to broaden and expand international cooperation in our organisation in both quantitative and qualitative aspects, - to broaden, in quantitative and qualitative aspects, our educational provision in French culture and language, - to promote and support international cooperation among seniors’ organisations in our region. The project foresees local activities (promoting project goals and preparing for trips) and two types of mobilities. There will be a job shadowing visit (for one person) in a French organisation dealing with seniors’ education and a language-communication course specially tailored to meet our needs in the United Kingdom, a program which will concentrate on competences necessary for effective participation in international meetings. Seven people will take part in this course. The project participants – both its local and international activities - will be the actors (the board members) and volunteers aged 60+ and educators gathered in our organisation. People foreseen for the mobilities will possess language competences required in the project, some experience in having supporting roles in international cooperation and ideas and strong motivation to realise the project goals described above.The main project results twofold. First, the competences acquired by the group of actors, volunteers and educators necessary for the active support of the international cooperation realised by our organisation and other seniors’ organisations in our region. Second, the establishment and development of cooperation with French-speaking countries, above all with France, generating parallel connections that will develop our educational provision in the field of French culture and language.The realisation of the project will contribute to activating seniors’ organisations in our region toward undertaking, realising and developing international cooperation and to make better use of the European funds.
