WAVE 2 is a complex group EVS project that follows both the positive impact and added value brought with the implementation of WAVE I in Romania as well as the creation of Youth Empowerment Network, a cooperation partnership between ARDR and organizations from EU, Africa and Latin America, launched by two 3.2 funded activities – YEP and ACTNOW.WAVE 2 is to gather 24 volunteers from 3 continents and 11 different countries and is going to include 4 different services:One Service in Romania, bringing 16 volunteers in 7 different rural and small urban communities from Gorj County for a period of 9 months (Bumbesti Jiu, Baia de Fier, Musetesti, Novaci, Ticleni,Targu Carbunesti (2 /community) and Rovinari (4 vol).One Service in Argentina( Buenos Aires, Salta, Cordoba, Rosario, Mendoza), hosting 2 Romanian Volunteers and 2 Spanish for 7 monthsOne Service in Brazil, Hosting 1 Romanian an one Spanish for 7 monthsOne Service in Spain(Aljaraque, Andalusia), hosting 1 Argentinean and 1 Brazilian for 9 months Each organization hosting the above services are acting also as SO. The project aims both towards social and personal growth of volunteers and beneficiary target group along with organizational and community sustainable development by bringing added value to existing activities and implementing new ones which stimulate the intercultural learning process, encourage active participation of youngsters, especially those with fewer opportunities and strengthen the international partnership. All hosting projects address youngsters from the local communities, including activities such as: art (painting, handcrafts, music), cultural actions (tradition and customs presentations, intercultural cooking workshops), sports, games, environmental actions, information campaigns on EVS and European Values, language and computer workshops, social campaigns. The working methods will focus on non formal and outdoor activities and activities based on "learning by doing" principle.
