The aim of the present project is to organise professional work placement for 17-18 year-old students in Italy for 3 weeks. 16-16 students will travel in two terms one after other. The hosting company and work programme is the same for the two groups The participants of the project are students of machine mechanics. The participants have the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work as secondary-educated technical-economical workers in machinery. The participant is able to work on his own with machines, program machines and equipment, diagnose and eliminate the errors, keep himself to safety regulations, ISO norms and environmental issues. He is also able to run basic functions of CNC machines.The most important objectives of the project is to:- expand professional vocabulary- develop professionally in mechanics- improve autonomy, self-reflection, self-trust and reproductive thinking- autonomous need for achievement at work- get to know modern working technologies, which are environmentally friendly and safe- work independently and as part of a team, manage task distribution in a team, be responsible for the work of a team- validate obtained knowledge, to be able to think critically- to get acquainted with different computer programs and work with them- know and recognise different mechanical elements, machines and mechanisms- know new methods of manufacturing materials- to be able to maintenance and repair of machines- to be able to diagnose and eliminate machine errors- to be able to work with CNC machinesThe reason why we have chosen an Italian partner is that Italian machine technology is world leader on market in producing carburators in racing motors, and motor components in the series Moto3 and Ferrari F1.Since the use of CNC machines is highly developed in Italy, we expect a higher level of motivation for work and experience in participants. Also, we expect a higher level of motivation in studying foreign languages. Our region is characterized by high level of unemployment, so we think the knowledge that participants obtain is indespensable for today’s youth. It helps them find workplace abroad and also, opens possibility for participants with less opportunity to earn a proper living.
