Date du début: 1 janv. 2015, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Project “Volunteering for community of Cesis” is designed for young people who have finished school and are currently unemployed or have fewer opportunities. As the project is 6-12 months, the volunteers will learn new competences and Latvian language. We decided to write the receiving project for 3 volunteers with fewer opportunities, who coming from the rural areas and are long time unemployed or have some other obstacles. Our organization spoke to the Sending organizations which we know well and which have the experience with disadvantaged volunteers. We have met in person with one of the representatives of the organizations and the support persons of the volunteers in Poland. We have discussed volunteer tasks. Organizations know the profile of the volunteers we would like to receive. The volunteers will be introduced with the project. Project will start on 01.02.2015 and finish 01.03.2016. One month for preparation and on month for evaluation. Methodology will be used is non-formal learning. The volunteers will play an active role in the everyday activities of our organization. They would participate in information and social involvement campaign through art and sports activities together with our staff and volunteers. They would be invited to demonstrate their own creativity and abilities by proposing new art and information activities to our staff. If their capacity would not be so extensive, they would be invited to take photos or film the activity, which is also very important. Most of our activities take place in our information and creativity rooms in the shopping center Globus. Our organization is also organizing regular informative meetings with young unemployed persons (16-30) at State Employment Agency. We organize regular information desks on the streets of Cesis accompanied by art workshops during the summer time. During the school year we organize information and social involvement campaign through art, sports and educational activities in schools and youth centers of Cesis and Cesis region. Gender balance will be ensured by selecting volunteers for project requirements by our organization. Sending organization and share their EVS experience with other young people from local community. After the EVS the volunteers will continue to be active in maintaining the blogs and communication with other volunteers, which will inspire them for good works for the local community and local young disabled and disadvantaged people. Using their contacts and international experience the volunteers will gain more personal self confidence and will become more competitive in the labor market. The desired impact and longer benefits of this project will be, that after volunteers come back from their EVS they can find the job, or possibly have ideas for their own business and also share to the other how big improvement they had by volunteering within Erasmus+ programme.
