“Volunteer for community” Project is an initiative proposed by a public institution Directia de Dezvoltare si Asistenta Comunitara Arad (Social and Development Directorate) from Arad Municipality, Romania and other 4 non-governamental organizations: Centrul Judetean de Voluntariat Arad (County Center for Volunteering - RO), Pro Atlantico - PT, Arcistrauss - IT and Sof Dagi Genclik - TR.Within this project we will organise 2 EVS learning mobility and host in Arad 12 volunteers from Italy, Portugal and Turkey for a period of 8 month each. Project approach is based on prior thematic, focusing on inclusion activities in favour of vulnerable groups: rroma people, social disadvantaged people and aged people.DDAC Arad and CJV Arad will be project promoters as coordinating and hosting organisations to support and facilitate the activities and tasks, as volunteers to live a quality learning experience. Activities are divided in 4 major components:A.1 Educational activities with rroma children in Curcubeu Center, subordinated to DDAC; A.2 Cultural and journalistic activities with rroma youth using social networking (blog, facebook, instagram, content for website);A.3 Intergenerational activities in DDAC daily-care centers in Arad neighbourhoods;A.4. Social activities-Food delivery at Municipal Canteen, hygiene products provision, support in work with target groups;Main expected results are key competences developed by all 12 EVS volunteers during the mobility stages, as well as social care skills and abilities.Other important result resides in partnership built for cooperation and exchange of good practices between organisations accredited on EVS from Romania, Italy, Portugal and Turkey. The major impact of project activities will produce positive effects on 12 EVS volunteers, on 10 youth workers/ internal staff of project promoters, over 100 children and youth, over 60 vulnerable families, (rroma and in risc of social exclusion). At the same time, we estimate that around 300 people from Arad critical neighbourhood will take part to project thematic activities / events / workshops.Project will generate a major impact over hosted volunteers as they will better integrate on labour market and at social level. Project will contribute to the quality of European cooperation among social volunteering projects and produce a positive change concerning final beneficiaries.
