Fundación Autónoma Solidaria is located in Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) Campus, Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona), Catalonia, Spain. The organisation's mission is to contribute to build a university more cohesive and committed to social reality, through the promotion of voluntary participation of the university community and to work to ensure equal opportunities. The Foundation believes strongly in the values of voluntary work and for this reason integrates into his team people who want to work selflessly to develop their activities. The participation of the organization in European Voluntary Service projects allows fulfilling the goal of promoting the voluntary work values. It is an opportunity to promote intercultural awareness while hosting young people from other countries who can provide new knowledge for the development of organization’s activities. The Foundation proposes to host 4 young Europeans who will reside during the academic year at University Village and cooperate as volunteers in the activities and projects promoted by the Foundation, among others, the Disability Attention Program, Volunteering Programs, Environment Program, Development Cooperation Program or the Health Promotion Program. Volunteers are between 18 and 24 years old and come from 3 diferent entities; a german volunteer (Kölner Freiwilligen Agentur e.V.), a romanian volunteer (American International School of Transylvania), a estonian volunteer (Continuous Action) and an austrian volunteer (LOGO jugendmanagement gmbh). The volunteer will be part of Foundation's team and will support the realization of activities driven from different areas taking the opportunity to know the work in non-profit organizations.
