Condordia is known for its volontary and international mobility experience. The project takes place at the Picardie NPDC delegation, located in Amiens. Today, we are aware of the aging process of European population, and we notice that older people are either really involved or more and more alone, with a lack of exchange with other people, which brings them to the loss of their social link, of their self-sufficienty, and of the sens of mobility. In the continuity, we want to keep up this approach of VOLTAGE project, to go along with the local and social initiatives for older people. For the volunteer, the aim of the project is to get an enrichment on professional an personal level, to learn the language and to discover one another by getting involved in a mission of general intere. This project is also a good opportunity for the volunteer to learn how an association works dedicated to Popular Education. Daily, we work with very diversified people: young people said as "classic", and young people "with less opportunities" who can get a renforced tutelage. To assure the well-being of a young EVS, we can host him or her for a long-time mission (12 months). The only criterions of recruitement to participate to this EVS project are the will of engagement and motivation. We are part of the "Alliance" international network since many years, and we work in partnership with Lunaria, which set up qualited projects. The young european volunteer will get involved to the associative life of the hosting structure: - Support to the local associative life. - Creation of events in partnership with of Service Civique - Creation of promoting actions about the new ERASMUS+ and the EVS program. - Support to the creation of new European projects (young exchanges etc...). - Support to the staff in the fields of information, animation, and communication. The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate to trainings, like the "group leader" training of Concordia. During an international workcamp of young volunteers, the volunteer could give support to an animation crew. The young European volunteer will get involved in the social animation towards older people: - The volunteer will have to communicate about Concordia's initiatives for older people animation. - The volunteer will have the opportunity to introduce his or her country and culture. - The volunteer will bring an European dimension to the local population and to the different organisations. What the volunteer can add to the project: - His or her ideas, experiences, and his or her vision of Europe. - His or her cultural linguistic dimension, his or her dynamism, and his or her opening to mobility. The volunteer will help developping solidarity and comprehension by creating social link between different populations: young and older people, young volunteers and young local people. What the volunteer will learn: - Acquisition of new social, linguistic and administratives skills, professional and personal. - A global knowledge of European plans and of the functioning of vulonteers workcamps. - Community life, teamwork, exchange of ideas, conflict management, capacity of changing adaptation, etc... At the beginning, the volunteer will be informed about Concordia's educative project, its values and principles. In interaction with the tutor, the vulonteer will be supported in his missions, his goals and his personal project. He will also be supported by the other volunteers involved in Concordia. For Concordia, the welcoming of european volunteers has an important role within the association. They are "ambassadors" to be testament of their experience of beeing european volunteers to local population. They bring their knowledge, another culture and also another language. Furthermore, thanks to this experience, they are a good example for the young interested people, and can give them some advice by answering their questions. This project is a good opportunity to share points of view and new ideas with the volunteer. These exchanges are also enriching for our team and ceate links between the different actors. According to us, this welcoming of a young European favors the inter-European dialogues and allows a better comprehension and integration between people. Thereafter, we would also like to increase our partnership with Lunaria, and cooperate together on other european projects.
