EVS Project '' Voice of the voiceless '' was implemented in Krakow and Więckowice. The duration of the project was 18 months, while volunteer activities in the host organizations lasted from 5 to 10 months. The project involved six volunteers from Germany, Spain and Portugal, and Turkey, which were held volunteering in four of Cracow’s’ institutions: Autism Center, Community of Hope Foundation, the Association Krakowska Fabryka Talentów (KFT) and Niepubliczny Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury KFT. The objectives of the project was firstly to sensitize young people to the problems of children and young people and those with disabilities. Another goal was to equip volunteers from different European countries with the basic skills and qualifications, strengthening their position in the labor market against the threat of unemployment, which is currently experiencing a high percentage of young people in Europe. The project showed that international experience, including the acquisition of specific professional skills and training of basic skills useful in any job can significantly prevent the threat of unemployment. EVS project was space for creative action to improve the situation of children and disabled people, with whom the volunteers. The title “Voice of the voiceless” was because both the needs and the voices of children, young people and people with disabilities are often not heard by the general public. European volunteers through their work and support - they listen to the voices of the vulnerable people with whom they were working and through their actions showed what an important role in society has both the youngest, youth and people with disabilities and how important it is to work for these groups. Two volunteers Alicia from Spain and Turkey Berkay worked at the Autism Center. Special Educational Autism Center is a facility dedicated to education, treatment and education of children and youth with autism and similar disorders. The basic activity of the volunteers at the Center for Autism focused on ongoing assistance during classes. Volunteer Miriam from Germany supported the work of the Community of Hope Foundation. The organization works with autistic people, which is one of the most vulnerable social groups of people with disabilities. Volunteer assisted therapists during workshops in Więckowice near Krakow, where the Foundation runs a center called Life Farm, innovative project for adults with autism, where they participated in rehabilitation and therapeutic workshops but also working on an organic farm, cultivating vegetables and fruits. Alina from Portugal was working in in Niepubliczny Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury KFT. Alina was assisted staff in Culture Center which organizes for children and adolescents workshops in various fields: arts, sports, education. House of Culture cooperates with the Municipal Social Welfare Centre and the Society of Friends of Children, which institutions are sending their wards classes at the Center. Two volunteers lldefonso and Tiago supported the Association Cracow’ Talents Factory. Volunteers supported the actions and activities of the Association helping during language classes, dance and theater, journalism and vocal classes. Also assisted among classes in the Open Future School, a facility run by the Association. The project '' Voice of the voiceless '' deepen young people's sense of European citizenship and helped them to understand their role in the present and future of Europe to which they belong. Those involved in the project realized that thanks to the membership in the European Union can move freely and thanks to this mobility they have access to the exchange of experiences between countries and can share good practices. The citizens of a united Europe can also look for job in other countries and the EVS as international experience helps young Europeans in the labor market. Convinced that EVS is a perfect example of promoting mobility, volunteers supported the meeting organized by the local employment for young unemployed people from the southern Polish, which was aimed at activating and encouraging mobility. Volunteers within the project summary also joined the organizations annual Day Farmer or picnic integration at the Farm Life in Więckowice (run by the Community of Hope Foundation), where they presented an exhibition of photos with descriptions depicting their action, Moreover they organized a sports competition for participants with disabilities and others. In addition, we created a brief report describing the benefits of the EVS projects submitted to the various institutions involved in social activities and promotion of volunteering.
