"WATER+, Environment and sustainable development with emphasis on the knowledge and protection of water” is a trilateral project organized by “Izviđačka družba” (The Scout Assotiation) from Zagreb, Croatia, in partnership with “Mazowiecka Wojewódzka Komenda OHP” from Warszawa, Poland and “Scout Group Krste Jon” from Struga, FYR of Macedonia. The project lasts from 1 of Mart to 31 of December 2016, with the main Action – international youth exchange – taking place in Croatia, 8 – 19 of July, in Fužine (Mountain District) and partly in Kostrena on the Adriatic coast. The project involves 36 young participants, aged 14 - 20 (with gender balance), and 8 leaders.Out of total number of participants there are 24 young people with fewer opportunities, including 4 disabled. Because of that, the leading team is strengthened with support of two personal assistants for disabled, a nurse and social workerOrganized activities in the society often remain out of reach for young people with fewer opportunities, especially for disabled, mostly due to unadjusted methods and requisites, but also because of far too small a number of leaders and people in general who are really ready to take on the challenge of working with and taking care of these youngsters. Therefore, this project primarily aims to include young people with fewer opportunities, including disabled. Other participants were selected primarily according to preference and opportunities for cooperation with themEndeavoring towards promoting and fostering European values, the objectives of our project are: The main objective of the project is education for environment and sustainable development with emphasis on the knowledge and protection of water, which is certainly one of the key interests of today. Given the structure of the participants objective is to involve more young people with fewer opportunities and socially integrate them in all activities, and with regard to the contents of activities and working methods the goal is practical, with non-formal learning methods, to achieve a more detailed insight into the selected main themes, achieving awareness of their European dimension, but also the experiential component of knowledge on the locations and conditions that enable that in the best way. Project participants will realize a welcome exchange of information from Poland and Croatia as EU member states and Macedonia as a candidate country for membership. Questions and doubts about the speed and manner of further enlargement of the European Union will certainly be interesting details exchange of views of young people from of all countries participating in the project. Young people will have the chance to talk and discuss the meaning of the different aspects of European citizenship, and thus contribute to an understanding of their own role in the present and the future of EuropeOrganization of activities on Action:The majority of activities, as well as overall life in the camp, will be realized in 3 international permanent groups composed of 12 participants each, with 2 girls and 2 boys from each country. Part of activities will be done in the international thematic workshops – several at the same time –composed by participants' interest in the topic, regardless of their belonging to permanent groups. A small part of activities will be in national groups and some activities will be common for all participants. The activities will be realized and coordinated mostly of participants, using non-formal methods, with leaders helping them in preparation and facilitating the realizationConcrete programs of all activities will be carried out under the proposed "Work schedule by days" and the results of previous discussions partnership groups performed during the preparation periodThe project will effectively contribute to the development of awareness of participants on the meaning and value of the "equal opportunities for all young people" principle, recognizing the possibilities of international youth exchanges, exploring and protecting environment and sustainable development, intercultural cooperation and mutual understanding as well as healthy lifestyles, sports and games. By focussing on the implementation of the specific content of the expressed needs, interests and desires of each participant, The project promotes the principles of liberty, democracy and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.Along with all mentioned benefits, influences and contributions, the project will have a multifold impact on both, participating organizations and target groups, in terms of their better understanding of European values and experiences as well as improving their program-methodical basis for activities with youth and for youth. The potential longer term benefits could be acceptance of this project as an example of one possible model for youth activities with a larger number of young people with fewer opportunities, including disabled
