"VISTA - new visions"
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Vista school from Paimio, Finland, is looking for Key Action 1 –funding for the staff mobility. The name of the project is “VISTA –new visions” and it is meant to take place during the years of 2014-2016. There will be six staff members involved in these mobilities. There are five teams in our Vista school in charge of the school and staff cooperations, satisfaction, and educational development, and from these educational mobilities each team is meant to gain benefits to be used as an aid to work on its area of expertise. The cooperative schools are a gymnasium in Odenthal, Germany, comprehensive school in Tondela, Portugal, primary school in Hasselt, Belgium, secondary school in Wissembourg, France, primary and secondary school in Blackpool, England. A course in England is one mobility. The topics and themes will be art education, special education, a language course, science, physical education and mathematics/IT. Only one staff member is meant to be sent on each trip. Since each visitor is working as an independent individual and truly committed to his educational purpose, our school will gain vaster know-how and have more destinations to be visited. The main reason for the two year time line is to have enough time to deal with the knowledge gained and to practice new teaching methods prior to the next mobility. The aim of the Vista school international strategy is to create such international activity that could give the pupils tools to practice languages and to become active Europeans. In addition, the aim is to prevent social displacement and school drop out by encouraging everyone to participate and by taking care of the realization of equality through education. The teachers are asked to bring new and inventive teaching methods, ideas and knowledge to our school to improve and modernize our teaching. Moreover, their purpose is to observe and collect information and experience about the approach of how to get pupils more involved at school. These planned mobilities will help to create contacts for possible forthcoming projects and pupil mobilities also in the future. Staff members of the cooperative schools will be asked to visit us in Paimio, in our school, too. The aim among our school staff and pupils is to state that everyone has taken part in either international or multicultural work during the next three years. The impact on each individual is higher motivation towards work, improved language skills, and stronger energy to work on the whole. The impact on the whole school community is vast. It can be seen in cooperation with colleagues both in our school and abroad, in new knowledge and ideas, and in practices involving pupils, as well as in new teaching methods – all aiming to benefit the pupils in the best possible way. A local impact can be seen in student welfare and in the forthcoming educational curriculum work. The pupils in Vista school need opportunities, possibilities and skills to overcome the future challenges concerning studies and work. “VISTA – new visions” is a tool and an aid to European cooperation projects and pupil mobility: internationality is a continuous process.
