The Open University Varazdin is a public institution for adult education , with a tradition spanning 97 years . Adult education is conducted as formal education through a wide variety of educational training programs and non-formal education through shorter course lecturing. Education in the university is conducted in regular classes with the use of presentation techniques . University employs five people with various responsibilities related to the organization and delivery of adult education . Teachers at the educational programs are outside cooperators . Open university applicates , conducts and participates in the implementation of various national and EU projects . Development strategy of the Open University Varazdin, in accordance with the requirements for the achievement of the desired development of education , is the continuous improvement activities: monitoring and introduction of new methods and techniques of teaching , use of examples of good practices in organization, training of the personnel in institution , making new plans and programs in accordance with developments in the labor market , as well as modernization of existing plans in accordance with the development of education technology, new teaching methods and tools , the new organization of teaching and learning with an emphasis on distance learning. Development strategy of our institution include an extremely important factor: development of cooperation with European institutions and international cooperation , which we still participate to some extent . With one of such cooperation we received the invitation to participate in the training , which in the framework of mobility KA1 prepares Spanish partner CEEDCV whom we met on mobility in the Netherlands , and on which we would like to respond . For training in Spain we plan participation of three people : the principal of in training management , organizational and methodological skills , one administrator in training techniques and monitoring the implementation of new technologies , and one lecturer in training pedagogy , didactics , metods and content in the application of new technologies . So we cover the three most important areas of activity of our institution . We, as a sending Organisation, will organize the preparatory activities for the participants ( linguistic , intercultural and pedagogical preparation of participants ) . Together with the organization of the recipient we will organize practical preparation as follows : - Writing application and determine the technical and financial details , signing a letter of intent with the tasks that the organization will have in the project , organize the preparation of participants, providing relevant information to participants about the host organization associated with the reservation of accommodation for participants , cooperation with the host organization in issuing the Europass Mobility document ; signing agreement with NA , signing agreement with the host organization , preparation and submission of report to the NA. The content of the course is already known , will be organized by CEEDCV in 5 working days , from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16 : 00 every day . The course will be conducted in the form of presentations , exercises , practical teaching , interdisciplinary teaching, workshops and round table , on the subject of communication , new methods of learning , distance learning , creating multimedia materials , innovative teaching and making professional presentations . The host organization , will monitor and have mentor for the participants. The expected results of the training are : a higher level of professional and personal development of participants and motivation for further training , new educational technologies and new methods of teaching that we will adopt , implement and apply the institution, strengthening the importance of adult education in the local community , the greater interest of adult students in learning , developing the European dimension in adult education . Results of the project in our organization should continue to strengthen the European dimension in the activities of our institution through further collaboration with the host organization , as well as new partners that will meet the education and who have similar needs . We expect to strengthen cooperation with partners that we have met on previous mobility activities planned through joint projects . As a long-term benefit we expect better status of adult education at the local and regional community , better opportunities for further development , increasing the number of adult learners in the community and the state , all in the ultimate goal of strengthening the capacity of citizens to exercise their basic needs and goals .
