The project takes into account the decentralisation towards Asia of the glass industry and refers to the valorisation of arts and techniques of glass. The aim of the project is to build up a Virtual European Training Centre for Glass Arts and Techniques. Target groups are artists, persons in craft industry in SME’s, students, training centres. A set of online learning modules with didactical videos and images and accompanying documentation shall be developed. A multilingual dictionary will be produced and put online. An online tutorial shall permit to contact professionals of glass arts. During the development process the products shall be tested and evaluated. Valorisation shall be undertaken in networking with the professional community, doing press releases and newsletters, attending conferences and fairs, producing a brochure and a multimedia demo, organising a European conference. The project shall have an impact on the attitude of the target group of artists and craftsmen who are not used to attend training so far. For the whole target group the learning and training opportunities shall increase.
