The programme "Green Building" refers to the education of students of Initial Vocational Education in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering of the 1 EPAL KALYMNOU. The project is expected to involve 44 students and 4 escort teachers, who for fifteen (15) days will go to Germany at UVE host institution and Poland to host institution Omni Centrum Edukacji Grzegorz Wolski (O.C.E.G.W.). The bioclimatic is a branch of architecture and its basic principle to take into account the requirements of ecology and sustainability in the design of buildings and spaces. The aim is to erect buildings which exploiting the local climate, natural phenomena and renewable energy sources, operate autonomously, fully cover their energy needs and do not harm the environment. The bioclimatic architecture is one of the major factors of ecological building, which deals with the control of environmental parameters in terms of building units. Bioclimatic Design of Buildings integrates demanding environmental criteria and procedures to minimize the energy consumption for the whole life cycle of buildings, from the construction and operation up to their disassembly. The protection and promotion of the natural environment and adaptation to the local climate and the integration of energy saving systems, renewable energy and materials that are environmentally friendly in the building, are the main pillars of Bioclimatic Design of Buildings. The program is intended to educate and refine participants in bioclimatic design and energy saving techniques to contribute actively to the immediate implementation of EU directives on the energy performance of buildings, promotion of renewable energies and environmental protection. This specialized knowledge will enhance the effectiveness of the whole process of construction and promote the implementation of energy saving measures, the integration of renewable sources and achieving high environmental quality in buildings. The training program is designed according to the characteristics and meet participants’ recorded needs:- Basic knowledge of bioclimatic planning,- Understand the principles and philosophy behind the energy autonomy,- Comprehensive understanding of the formation of needs and how they are transformed depending on the season,- Adaptation to contemporary subjects,- Training in the installation and maintenance of passive and active infrastructure. Participation in such a mobility project contributes to earn participants valuable experience and important skills to achieve the following objectives:- be aware of the tools and applications of bioclimatic building design,- know the fundamentals energy needs and energy efficiency,- implement energy projects,- manage measures and safety rules,- apply techniques implementing bioclimatic plans,- to install and maintain passive and active heating and cooling of buildings,- be able to adapt and expand the existing infrastructure,- designing models and measurement systems and ventilation control,- be aware of the EU Directives on Energy Efficiency in Buildings,- to design the complete integration of RES in building design. In the proposed project we expect to achieve multiplier effects and benefits, both for participants and for stakeholders abroad. This gives added value to the proposal, helping to develop the European dimension in vocational training and vocational guidance and disseminate the importance of mobility programs and the transfer of European culture in the sending country. Participation in such a mobility project contributes so the beneficiaries to gain valuable experience and important skills in order to enrich their knowledge, to work in an environment with different technologies and know-how, practice and perfect a foreign language and get to know a different culture. With the approval of the proposed project, our organization intends to organize a series of activities that will involve the preparation phase, the implementation phase and phase after training.
