Large scale volunteering project “Village of European cultures - Wroclaw European Capital of Culture 2016 ” will take place in Poland from 1/06 till 30/07/2016During two months 40 young people from 33 countries will get involved in cultural/social life of Wroclaw –city that in year 2016 is going to bring together people of different backgrounds, languages, traditions, values, presenting and experiencing diversity and beauty of European cultureEVS Volunteers will -assist in on-going cultural events organized in cooperation with Impart2016 Festival Center – official body responsible for preparing Wroclaw – ECOC2016-prepare/present own 1 week event “Village of European cultures” –presenting in Wroclaw music, dances, traditions of 33 countries-prepare/lead INTERvolunteerActive meetings with youth from rural areas and young people from Wroclaw,promoting importance of volunteeringThe idea behind “Village of European cultures - Wroclaw ECOC 2016 ” : by giving to young Europeans chance to co-create Capital of European culture (one of our unity symbols) – we can develop strong sense of belonging to one European community. Especially,important is to enjoy European culture diversity together with ALL the citizens – with no difference of age,social status, ethnicity or physical abilities. Village of European cultures will bring to city spirit of unity and sharing that is still so strongly noticed in village communityEVSVolunteers will live in village Wolimierz –place known in Poland and abroad for artistic/ecological activities. At that inspiring place youngsters will get to know each other,integrate, discover European cultures and createAt the eco-art center Stacja Wolimierz(authentically ex-railway station) EVS volunteers are going to make preparations for meetings,workshopsAs a result of Large Scale EVS will be created universal start-up project with reflection, advise, hints for implementaion/organisation of international event with a strong European dimention
