Project background :With regard to the changing European situation concerning the developing intercultural labour market on the one hand and the current refugee crisis on the other hand we as a school see ourselves responsible for teaching our students the necessary skills to face these challenges. We consider intercultual knowledge, foreign language competences, team spirit and tolerance as key skills we would like to include in our curriculum. That's why we plan to implement Erasmus+ projects with other European schools in order to teach and practice these competences. What's more, we would like to work better with our students with migration backround.Therefore our teacher's language, intercultural as well as project management skills need to be significantly improved. These skills should be learned in intercultural training courses and project management training courses . Of course it is necessary that our teachers attend the courses together with collegues from other countries to allow cross-cultural learning during and after the training course time and to have the opportunity to get to know potential project partners, exchange ideas and if possible start making plans for e-twinning or school exchanges.Project goals: Our teachers should improve their intercultural skills and project management skills Number and profile of participants; The three teachers should be open-minded and willing to learn more about how to include the European idea in teaching. Furthermore, they should have an interest in aquiring intercultural and project management skills for European school projects by attending training courses abroad. The two collegues who plan to attend English-speaking seminars should have a sufficiant command of English. What's more, after attending the seminars all three should be able to spread their aquired intercultural skills as well as the European idea among fellow teachers and hence among students. Above all, they should help creating and organizing European school exchange projects. Description of measures: Participation in intercultural project management training coursesMethodology for project implementation: On the one hand European school exchange projects shall be implemented at our school and on the other hand the teaching and inclusion of students with migration background shall be improved. What's more, we want to include the aquisition of intercultural competences in our lessons by using e.g. e-twinning.Description of the expected results, effects and potential long-term benefits: Our participating teachers will expand their language and intercultural competences, aquire new project management skills for European school exchanges and learn how to better teach students with migration background. The inspiring and motivating training abroad will enable the participants to spread the newly aquired knowledge and skills as well as the enthusiasm for the European idea among our staff and therewith spark the interest in other cultures and the wish to participate in cross-cultural projects. In addition to that, future European projects will be realized more effecfively than without the training.What's more, the inclusion of students with migration background will be succeed in a more empathic and qualified manner.Last but not least, by including practical language skills as well as intercultural and social competences in our curriculum will enable our students to meet the demands of the European and international labour market .
