As a school with an intensive English programme, we aim to enhance multilingualism in order to promote cultural diversity and intercultural understanding among our pupils and teachers. The enhancement in the foreign language competencies and (cross cultural) language awareness of our teachers will be integrated into our classrooms so as to boost the confidence of our young learners in their use of the (foreign) language and promote the quality of their expression in that (foreign) language. We also aim to promote and improve the attainment of our pupils, particularly with regard to becoming multilingual, through innovation teaching methodology. In addition, the teaching competencies and qualifications of our teachers will be increased significantly. Two teachers, who have been teaching in the intensive English programme for a few years, will be attending English courses abroad. As a result of the increased European dimension in our school, the integration of our foreign pupils will be better implemented. The improved English language skills of the teachers through their overseas training will also have a direct impact on the learning outcomes and performance of our pupils with the teachers better able to communicate and put language learned into practice with our pupils.
