It is our school’s aim to foster early multilingualism and thereby attain a union within the existing plurality. As one of the foundations of our curriculum, we have the programme “Fostering interest and aptitude in English”, and through CLIL we expect even more efficient and competent teaching. As two participating teachers are scheduled to teach first classes in the following school year, a lasting effect of the project is ensured. A further teacher has been working on “Fostering interest and aptitude in English” for five years, and additionally teaches several subsidiary subjects in many classes. A CLIL English course in Malta, offered and organised by our project partner “Traveledventures”, is sought for all participants. All teachers who have completed the course will make their acquired competences available to the entire teaching staff. The training received in Malta will be integrated in our school’s internal formation and training and will additionally form our future development. The cultural experiences made will be incorporated in our teaching, whereby the students’ interest in other countries and cultures will be inspired.
