Vers une culture numérique pour tous
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

A major focus of the school project is entitled : Axis 4 - "Towards a digital culture for all" with the aim to join the digital workspace of the local education authority and provide the educational staff with a training in the field of ICT, especially as students at our rural school do not all have access to the digital tools, nor have the opportunity to open up to the rest of the world. The project is therefore focused on two main objectives : - Improving digital skills of teachers to make their courses more attractive and motivating . - Improving digital skills of students to communicate in projects with European partners, mainly in English. In a long term perspective, their knowledge in new technologies will surely become a major factor and asset in the world of work and in today's society . The three participating teachers ( English and Sciences ), already involved in European collaborative projects ( Etwinning , English + , Digital Optional Course ) are willing to improve their teaching practices and gain new methods of teaching to motivate their students. They also want to help other teachers to feel more confident with the use of Web tools in daily teaching, and encourage them to join multidisciplinary and international projects. In this context, it is necessary to strenghten our school’s international connections and make new contacts with schools in Europe. This course, taking place early in the project, is an excellent opportunity not only to meet such educators and discuss practices, but also to learn how to use ICT tools to nurture and develop further collaboration and new projects. In order to answer the school needs, an initial  assessment will be conducted. The knowledge gained during the training will be passed on to the other members of the school staff, individually or in groups, but also thanks to a school database of tools useful for teaching. A monitoring will be carried out throughout the whole year to assess the increasing use of digital tools in the teaching practices and the evolution of complexity of the different tasks performed by the students. This one-year project seems perfectly suited to meet the objectives of the school project, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) being now a key part of the European educational landscape and of today's world.
