Verbesserung der Fähigkeiten der Lehrer zur Nutzung von E-twinning und anderen Kommunikationswegen und zur Förderung der Internationalisierung

We - the staff of the Winfriedschool - liked to make a contribution for the better understanding between the cultures. Our aim was to allow our pupils contacts to foreign countries, so that they could extend their horizon and improve their communicative abilities. To reach that aim, the teachers extended their own abilities. First one teacher (Mrs. Wilmes) took part at a course, to coordinate the project later. Before beginning the further education, the wishes and expectations of the headmaster were written down. The headmaster provided material to Mrs. Wilmes so that she could inform herself about cultural particularities and to improve her english. The course provider handed out a questionnaire to interrogate the aims, expectations and the level of language before the course began. Mrs. Wilmes took part at the course to increase her competences. The language course refreshed Mrs. Wilmes language skills, regarding the extension of vocabulary and grammatic structures and caused a better methodical and didactic language teaching. For better language lessons in all classes Mrs Wilmes held a conference with all english teachers and the headmaster. In this conference Mrs. Wilmes transmitted her new knowledge to the other teachers. Together we integrated all new methods etc. in the internally curriculum. The Winfriedschool actually is registered at E-Twinning. A school partnership was build up through allready existing contacts to spain and the netherlands and new contacts from the course in ireland. Colleges from the netherlands visited us allready. Also our colleges hospitated in ther netherlands and an exchange took place, Another visit is planned for January 2017. Letter and email friendships do already exist in class four and further projects are planned. Also Email-contact with the spanish colleges does allready exist. Thereby the pupils should be prepared for the global cooperation. In addition they practise their communicative abilities and their acceptance to pupils and teachers of other countries. We informed about our activities at meetings with the parenthood and through the local press. To evaluated it with questionnaires and are going to do this again.
