Verbesserung der Career Management Skills von Lernenden an schulischen Schnittstellen
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Title of the project: Enhancement of Learner's Career Management Skills in Secondary Education Firstly there has to be stated that our project is an additional international activity connected to the IBOBB project currently taking place at our school. According to that the long-term IBOBB project functions as the main basis and background to our Erasmus+ KA1 activities. IBOBB is short for "Information, Beratung und Orientierung für Bildung und Beruf" (information, guidance and orientation within educational and career matters). The five-year pilot project (2015-2020) is run in three Upper Austrian grammar schools in cooperation with: Landesschulrat für Oberösterreich, Pädagogische Hochschule Oberösterreich, Wirtschaftskammer Oberösterreich, Industriellenvereinigung Oberösterreich. The IBOBB project tries to implement career guidance (which has to be understood in a broader sense) within the final years of Secondary Lower respectively Secondary Upper Education with the main focus on grammar school attendants and their abilities and needs. The aim is to minimize and fight early school leaving, youth unemployment and job frustration by offering and teaching preventive measures and strategies. In specific workshops as well as in adequate sequences embedded in regular subjects, the learners should f. e. be enabled to sketch out a profile of their personal abilities and talents, they should get aware of their Career Management Skills and receive guidance in enlarging and improving those skills. Within a broader context they should reflect on their plans and expectations connected to their future career and life. This kind of reflection and encouragement intends to support learners in an important phase of orientation for their further lives and give some guidance in difficult personal situations. Non-formal and informal elements of teaching have to be part of this process. Further and more detailed information on the IBOBB project is to be found in the attachment (in German language). Within the IBOBB school project our KA1 project puts its focus on the international aspect. The mobilities should improve foreign language competences of teachers and furthermore they can provide a good opportunity for international networking. They might offer a wide range of teaching techniques and authentic cultural impressions. After the mobilities the participants are going to share their experience with the adequate departments at school and with the IBOBB members. In this context the school plans to establish a new voluntary subject, which puts the focus on the use of Spanish in career and economy. Improvement of language and communication skills among teachers will as a consequence improve language and communication skills of learners. Embedding those newly acquired skills, techniques and possibilities (f. e. eTwinning) into IBOBB and into regular subjects might give new impulses and intensify motivation. The prior and most sustainable aim, which should be reached by this kind of international networking of teachers and learners, should be and has to be the reinforcement of the European spirit and of a European identity. Direct contact and direct interaction with "foreigners" and "foreign" matters should lead to better understanding and a broader acceptance within Europe. A future aim of our project might be a KA2 project given positive feedback and a positive turnout of the KA1 project. Mobilities and further activities: Two participants of the project will each attend a three-week training course in Spain respectively UK and share the achieved competences and experiences with the adequate departments at school and with the IBOBB members. The candidates have been chosen due to their professional expertise and because of their motivation to support the IBOBB project in matters of internationalization. Sustainability of the project is secured in connection with the IBOBB project and within regular subjects (mainly foreign languages), because it enables learners to improve and extend Career Management Skills, which are an important basis for a successful career.
