Speak up and change the world! That's the motto of Verbattle educational programme and competitive debate style as well as the sum of reasons why the Czech Debate Society decided to implement this project: Educational programme and competitive debate format Verbattle was founded ten years ago in India. During its existence in India it gained considerable popularity among the youth.Czech Debate Society licensed this programme as the only organization within the European Union to date. This project with the participation of partner organizations Kulturális Kapcsolatokért Alapítvány (Hungary), WalkTogether (Bulgaria), Slovak Youth for Traveling, Education and Volunteering (Slovakia) and Hellenic Youth Participation (Greece) together with the coordinator sending 36 youths and 12 leaders aims thanks to seminars of information work, logic, formulating opinions and argumentation, public speaking, presentation skills and other soft skills to improve participants communication and language skills. Equipping them to active participation in social discussion and intercultural dialogue, strengthening their rational and logical thinking, providing them with awareness and respect for democratic values and ideals, examples of good practice, knowledge of civil society activities and the power of local leaders and through experiential education awareness makes them realize the social responsibility of individuals, the state and the international community (EU) and last but not least, it will enhance their degree of tolerance for diversity, attitude towards social inclusion and brotherhood in the best sense of the word.Participants will be in a balanced sex ratio in the age of 13-20 years. Activities will be combined education and experience so as to achieve a balance between intellectual and physical stress. Participation in the project will encourage participants to develop their key competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) with regard to their personal development and employability. Given that the project is the dissemination of the Verbattle education programme. The project also will support the personal development of individual leaders and in a figurative sense their organizations with a prospect of improving the quality of teaching and youth work. At the same time will increase the capacity and attractiveness of the transnational dimension of organizations active in the education of youth, which, thanks to it will be able to offer an educational program that better meets the needs of individuals within or outside the EU. The choice of project language - English - will mean for all participants improved language skills for foreign languages. The program is also designed so that it encourages the participants willingness to learn and the ability to participate in the activities of civil society and develops in them a sense of European identity. Participation in the project will also strengthen synergies and transmission between formal and non-formal education, employment or self-employment.
