Motivation for applying the certain mobility proposal under the title "Improving and enhancing career prospects through contemporary applications of e-tourism" stood the fact of the lack of connection between vocational education and the labor market in our country, the rapidly growing use of the internet for marketing and promotion of the touristic product and the fact that tourism is the heavy industry of Spain. Purpose of the project is the acquisition of specific knowledge and practical skills of the participants, the adoption and use of advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) upon which the promotion of tourism products and services is currently based. Objectives of the project: - Education abroad can be a strong disincentive for early school leaving - The development of closer cooperation between the educational and working environment - The active participation of students in the labor market by upgrading their professional qualifications Number and profile of participants Potential beneficiaries are 12 students in the field of "Economy and Management" of the 5th Evening EPAL of Patras, with an extremely low economic profile, whose age ranges between 16 and 55 years. Description of activities The activities to be carried out will be placements in companies, organizations and hotels that operate through online transactions (e-tourism), specializing in the promotion and sale of Spanish tourism product, e-booking, online payment, tourist information, e-ticketing, and cultural visits and guided tours of the historic center, monuments and major museums. Methodology that will be used in carrying out the project will include regular-formal-and informal meetings with the participants, for the supervision and control of training. Evaluations with questionnaires and skills tests will be used, to provide feedback and ensure the continuation of the program. Certificates of skills acquisition, with a detailed description and evaluation of the content and success of the practice exercise, will be provided to participants by the host organization, upon completion of the training. Also they will prepare the Final Report. The expected results and impact envisaged: - The participants to develop the required skills for the transition from education and training to labor market and broaden their social and cultural horizons. - 5th ΕPA.L. to obtain additional experience for future mobility activities for all its sectors and specializations and thus acquiring the reputation of an innovative school with a European dimension. The potential longer term benefits: To be as widely known as possible the learning outcomes achieved by this mobility project to develop cooperation between our school and local or regional businesses targeting to enhance the career prospects of our graduates and finally to attract students who will seek diversity in education.
