Project "Promote pupils motivation to study, using creative and innovative methods" is learning mobility project for Liepaja Secondary school No5 teachers. In 12 months school plan to send 7 teachers to different courses around Europe. Course themes are about learning English, ICT tools for lessons, new methods in geography classes and creativity in classroom. Course providers are very experienced and they had organized different type of teachers courses for more than 10 years and all the time they improve the quality of courses. Selection of participants did special project's management team which includes project manager, headmistress and deputy. Selection of teachers was made in democratic way. It means that each teacher could volunteer apply for attending courses. We think that this is the best way because if people do something volunteer than he/she has bigger motivation to learn things and disseminate it. In the same time project's management group outline the school's development plan and European development plan and teachers must choose courses according it. During 12 months 7 teachers will attend courses. In this 7 teachers are teachers from primary level, basic level and secondary level. This mean that there will be succession after courses because these new methods will be taught in all levels in the same time. Possible impact on teachers: - new, creative teaching methods; - sharing with experience with colleagues from other countries; - different perspectives on teaching their subjects; - better understanding about European Union education system and Latvia's educational system in it; - better intercultural understanding and understanding of European dimension; - creation of new intercultural projects; - new methods of using ICT tools. Possible impact on students: - new, creative learning methods; - bigger motivation to learn; - better understanding about connection between different subjects; - better understanding of European culture and European dimension. Possible impact on school: - bigger motivation to learn for students; - creative, dynamic learning environment; - creation of European dimension in school. In short term we can evaluate project by marks of students and the end of semester and school year. The best evaluation we can make in perspective in two years by results of official exams. Also we can evaluate project during lessons observation and by our students - we can look at pupils reaction - which new methods do they like or they don't like.
