The volunteers will be involved in the activities and projects developed by the Hosting Organisation and will be encouraged to develop and implement their own projects/ ideas.MOJU was founded on the 16th October, 2007 in Olhão. Our history is closely related with volunteering, since the Association was created and is maintained mainly by volunteers. So the volunteering spirit has always been a determinant factor to our structure. With this project MOJU aims to act as a VEEhYCLE (vehicle) for the social inclusion of the most vulnerable youngsters of our comunity, in an active and sustainable way. We believe that youth involvement in the development of a more just and caring society is essential to increase the feeling of belonging and to promote a better quality of life for the youngsters at risk. The project will promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular since living and working abroad will be an important learning experience in itself for the volunteers. Also the contact with the local youth will allow the discussion about the european values with persons diffent backgrounds and realitys, but also will be a chance to promote changes in different areas and regarding different topics. In terms of specific objectives for youth under the Erasmus + Program, VEEhYcLE will help to improve the level of skills and key skills of young people, including the disadvantaged, promoting intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, particularly through creating opportunities for mobility for learning purposes. Complementing will help to improve the quality of youth work by strengthening the cooperation between youth organizations. In terms of priorities will enable the development of basic and transversal competences such as entrepreneurship and multilingualism, and will raise awareness of European citizenship. With regard to the objectives established for the KA1 in the field of youth will contribute to raising awareness for understanding different cultures and other countries, providing the opportunity to create networks of international cooperation as well as to promote non-formal learning and cooperation with partner countries between youth organizations. We believe that the project will be a very good way of developing solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, in particular in order to foster social cohesion in the European Union, because the volunteers will have the opportunity of seeing the dificulties of the youngsters living in the neighborhoods where the activities will be developed. Also, working with this young people with fewer opportunities, that are at a disadvantage compared with their peers mainly in terms of social, economic and educational obstacles, will be a very good way of developeng sensibility for the dificulties that others may have. By the other hand, the youngsters involved in the activities will have the opportunity of get in contact with people from diferent countries what will certainly be a great motivational factor for them. We intend to privilege the development of the volunteers' personal skills and create learning opportunities, both based in non-formal methods, through tutoring sessions to introduce the volunteer to the organisation and to provide them with the necessary skills to carry out their tasks, with the direct contact with the community, the culture and the language. At the same time, the service of the volunteers will bring a strong added-value both to MOJU and to the community in general, through the direct results of their work for and with the local youngsters and through the different points of view that they will bring.
