VAMOS A JACA
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The “04 Septembre 1870” vocational school has been organizing European mobility programs for almost 10 years. Indeed, every year more and more students (5 initially, now 14) go to Spain to carry out a month long work placement. This year we wish to consolidate our relations with our Spanish partners by developing their numbers and facilitating projects linked to the Oloron-Jaca twinning. The recently elected Mayor of Jaca and his team met with us in October 2015 and assured us of their support and collaboration. We will thus be able to work with two new structures for the ASSP students: the public hospital and the primary school. Furthermore, some commercial franchises (North Face and Inside) recently established in the centre of Jaca are interested by the project. It is noteworthy too that the new managers of Intersport are keen to develop their collaboration with us further. We will seek to multiply our communication channels to convey the benefits of previous European Erasmus mobility programs to more of our students. Social networks and internet media are a solution, as are billpostings, forums and open days. Communication brings European mobility programs to life and stimulates more and more actors who believe in lifelong training and the importance of the European work market. The students who apply will be selected in equal parts from the two “Sales” and “Personal Care and Services” training options. We hope 14 students and 2 accompanying adults will be able to take part in this 2016 project. The seven final year students from “Personal Care and Services” option and the seven pre-final year “Sales” students will be assigned work placements which carefully respect the strict regulation norms within their respective training courses. We will ensure that these 14 students are from a modest background that does not allow them to carry out a work placement in Spain by their own financial means. We will also continue to add value to the work carried out by European Union elected representatives in this Erasmus + project. The objectives of this project also include discovering and sharing technical knowhow between France and Spain. The capacity to adapt, open mindedness and versatility will thus be skills to be acquired. Through this mobility program, all the participants will be encouraged to attach importance to the language throughout their days and activities. “Unconscious learning” is an inescapable aim! Cultural and sports events at weekends will be very important to ensure cohesion in the group and to stimulate the curiosity of our learners. They will include the visit of the Aragon capital, Saragosse, and towns such as Huesca and Pampelune. It is important that this mobility program be the opportunity to enrich the geographical and historical knowledge of the students. We will seek to ensure that they better understand the reasons for the existence of the European Union. Web TV Oloron will make a documentary in Jaca on the work placements. Students will be interviewed and filmed in situ at work. The local Jaca and Oloron press media will also be a means to share information about this ERASMUS + mobility program. During the whole time, a follow up of each student in each structure will be carried out by the accompanying adults and the tutors. Together, we will seek to ensure that the students develop by learning “in the field” and exchange in the foreign language both in the professional workplace and also in their daily life. We hope this project contributes to their personnel development and gives them more confidence in their potential for success both personally and professionally. It would be interesting to demonstrate to them that they are capable of being autonomous and to live within a community in another country. More and more students are curious about the possibility of carrying out their job search at international level. Students benefiting from the mobility program are examples of success and can share interesting personal accounts with other youth. Finally, efficient and rewarding collaboration between Spanish and French participants remains the backbone of the project. We will ensure its sustainability. The twinning between the two towns will be reinforced. Partner investments will allow learners to enjoy good working conditions and to develop skills and knowledge directly or indirectly linked to their future chosen professions. Sharing experience and skills motivates students, managers and the whole of the education team of the vocational school. The locally elected representatives of the two towns are united in their enthusiasm and their desire to continue these great experiences!
