V for Volunteer
Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

"V for Volunteer" is an Erasmus+ European Voluntary Service project which includes 2 volunteers from Romania and Polonia. Activities will take place for 8 months each in İstanbul Turkey and hosting organisation is Istanbul Arel University. The project activities will start on 3rd of October 2016. We want to run an EVS hosting project because with 68 youth clubs within our university, we are already running social responsibility projects but these activities are not well enough to be international and have the idea of globalisation. This EVS will help us and our local beneficiars to be open minded and see the other side of the world. Within this framework we applied to be and EVS organisation and finally got the acreditation. After having this opportunity, we wanted to take a step into the EVS and get good benefit from the programme. These youth clubes which are already running social, cultural and sport activities and their main activity types are; seminar, trainings, congrees, workshops, awareness campaigns, social responsibility activities, healthy life style activities. Our EVS volunteers will be attending mentioned activities with our students and youth. Our career center, sustainable education center, erasmus+ office, student clubs office and leadership office is also organising such as activities and Our EVS volunteer will be part of this activities. The main goal of making this project is that we want to create / raise awareness of Global Citizenship and European Citizenship within the students and young people who are having time and economic fewer opportunities. We fully agree that even a minute spent with an EVS volunteer make you learn a lot both for the beneficiars and volunteers. We want our students, young people and volunteers to have this opportunity, be open minded and plan a better future via this activity. In the same time this will be a big step to plan learning process of EVS and local volunteers.
