Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The ever-changing external environment and customers' needs, requires continuous competence development for the advisors from ProAgria. 19 experts working in the Association of ProAgria Centres are responsible of planning and implement trainings for the entire ProAgria’s personnel (680 advisors), each in their own substance and knowledge area, together with the HR director and one secretary. During the past years it has been noticed that the level of trainings content differ in relation to different levels of expertise of the trainers and trainer skills. It has also been noticed that the trainer’s professional competence is not fully developed in relation to the changes in the environment. Since ProAgria is the only agricultural advisory organization in Finland – international market is the only place where the lacking competence development methods and trainer skills can be improved. International activities and relationships have always been involved in the ProAgria’s strategy. In the future strategy discussions, international activities are increasingly seen to play a stronger role. One aim of the mobility project is to ensure that the training of trainer’s expertise is internationally competitive and the trainers will have the latest knowledge and sufficient understanding of the new information. By strengthening the trainer’s skills and competences, ProAgria Training could offer better quality trainings in every special agricultural field of advising; meanwhile the impacts are transferred further in the Finnish rural businesses and Finnish food production. Second aim of the mobility project is to activate the trainers to study and learn more from the international papers and implement the knowledge and benefits from the international relationships into the everyday advisory work. This is one way how we can secure high quality advising for the Finnish farmers also in the future. It has been listed in the European Development plan that through more actively internationalization, ProAgria could gain new innovative and good practices by benchmarking them from abroad. European mobility is also intended to integrate more attractive and interesting trainings into the ProAgria Training annual training calendar which utilizes regional ProAgria centers and their local communities. All trainers (19) from ProAgria Training will be involved in the participation of the mobility project, meaning that there will not be any separately competition or selection process of participants. This is seemed the only way to ensure the quality balance of all future trainings. The selected selection method is transparent and fair to everyone, because the remaining employees from the Association of ProAgria Centres are not directly involved in the training design and implementation. The main objectives of the trainers mobility project is to develop the trainers' professional skills and quality level of trainings through international training courses, seminars and events as well as by looking more closely inside the foreign organizations in the same sector by job shadowing- activities. Each mobility will be individually tailored by the participant’s competence needs and skills. There will be two persons responsible of tailoring the participant’s mobility plans; HR director and Development Manager. Both of them are also responsible of monitoring the mobility’s and summing together the good practices. It is important to continuously monitor how the general quality of trainings and agricultural advising has been improved during the mobility project as well as the trainer’s inter-cultural communication and linguistic skills. A Career Matrix toolkit has been used to map the level of expert competences and will be used before and after the mobility project. The long term goal for the mobility project is secure the quality of domestic agriculture production, the beauty of the Finnish countryside and satisfied consumers by developing the agricultural advising processes through developing the trainings for the agricultural advisors.
