The project "Learning of New Skills and Approaches for Trainers in Low-energy Construction" aims to cover the need for further training of trainers/teachers and heads of VET organizations in construction. Developed proposal has its European context - the theme of energy saving is still on the agenda. The main topic is energy efficiency, largely spread within society as law and theory, but still far from the targets set by the EU 2020 strategy. The other topic is important for Bulgaria, namely - improving the qualification of teachers/trainers, which is absolutely important on professional and personal level. Our main goal within this proposal is train-the-trainer for sustainable and ecological construction and renovation of existing buildings. The plan is to train 24 teachers and heads of vocational training institutions on issues of energy efficiency and its practical application for two weeks at the VET training centre premises in Cottbus, representing a part of the German Construction sector Federation/HDB. All these trainers are employees of the members of the Consortium. Planned activities of an organizational nature are related to the trainees election, preparation, implementation of the mobility, feedback, reporting and dissemination of materials for the project. Implementation of the mobility provides construction sites visits, in-class lessons, presentations, practical exercises, visits to facilities for practical training and to other VET training institutions. Long-term benefits are directly related to the EU 2020 targets aiming at energy costs and carbon emissions, improving the competitiveness of teachers and their organizations, expanding interaction between stakeholders at national and European level, better-qualified young professionals and improved labour mobility in the EU, increased attractiveness of the construction sector and qualification, the further development of the renovation market will lead to the creation of new jobs.
