Date du début: 1 août 2014, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our project, Unemployed youngsters going abroad to expand their experience of life, is being realized as European cooperation between two organizations: The municipality of Rautjärvi (Rautjärven kunta), Finland and non-profit public organization Proyecto Kieu, Spain in the village of Numancia de la Sagra, Spain. The main target of our project is to increase international inclusion among the youth and other villagers by bringing a foreign volunteer into their community in order to get the youth more active in common things and interested in their future. The EVS will “fight” against the lack of opportunies and so called “nothing to do in this village” stance within the youth. The EVS service will also include dealing with intergenerational relationships. The main work field of the EVS will be assisting in local youth projects in Numancia de la Sagra and in Rautjärvi. EVS will also participate closely into ordinary youth work of the village, as in the schools, and in organizing all kind of events and activities in the village. The presence of an EVS in the community will be a positive “charge” for all the people but specially to the youth in the village. EVS will be documenting all his events and the activities in the village by photos, videos and written texts. Finnish sending and receiving party contact is Outreach youth work worker, which is why the youth unemployment or rather youth employment is an important dimension in the project. International activities and exchange programs have a positive impact on the development of the young person on a personal level and as a professional. EVS will participate in general in the work with children and adolescents, also if possible, in outreach youth work, at least in the preventive work. Accommodation will be provided in families, when EVS is as much as possible in contact with the local people and, therefore, learn more on local customs and language.
