"ABCM Les Mickele" is a parental association which aims at supporting bilingualism from preschool on. Lisa, our German volunteer, has contributed with her mother tongue and mentality developping our project. Her presence during the whole school year enabled her to be integrated completely in the pedagogic team, to be a permanent middlemen for the children, a play companion who is placed because of his young age between the adults and the children. The activities of Lisa were articulated in two domains: - compagny and support of the pedagogic team in their every life and their activities (reading stories, doing handicrafts, participating in works given by the teachers) - supervision of the children after the school (preparing their snack, supervising the snack eating, plays outside, organizing handicrafts, role plays, songs etc) Her presence was an enrichment for al parties concerned: -according to intercultural and liguistic aspects for the children -support of the pedagogic team and the school activities -support of the school assistants after the regular school time Due to her self-dependance and her richness of ideas she could take part in an important way in the every day life of the school.
