PROJET
TERMINÉ
We are a vocational school with two main pathways : home-care and territorial service and sales consulting engineering. We are located in a rural area in the heart of the ‘Pays de Brocéliande’. We have experience concerning the mobility of our students, on the international scale but not in the European zone. The objectives of this project are: to encourage open-mindedness and to foster the construction of a European identity. In addition, the participants will be able to discover new professional skills likely to promote their employability. The objective for the accompanying adults will be to establish long-lasting exchanges with European partners, to promote a new approach in the way we accompany the students, and to develop new skills through the realisation of projects. This project is intended for 10 participants aged under 18, Terminal Bac Pro pupils specialising in sales consulting engineering from a rural and often underprivileged background, whose first experience it will be in the domain of European mobility.
The activities will be as follows:
Firstly, a group “Project Erasmus +” will be made up of teachers specialised in professional and general subjects and the Board of Directors. Targeted pupils have been given a presentation of the project. A survey of the same students has shown their interest in the project. From this stage, the ‘Project Erasmus +’began its deliberations on the development of the project, accompanied by a firm of experts, the ‘Cabinet Coiffard’. In our research for partners, we made contact with a Polish vocational school located in Grodzisk, which agreed to help us develop our project. We paid a first visit to prepare the ground and organise the mobility of our learners on the spot. Our mediators enabled us to meet the future tutors and visit the lodgings. On our return, the pupils and people concerned by the project were given an overview. Furthermore, from the beginning of this project, pupils have been carrying out commercial actions in order to participate in the financing of the project. The selected pupils will be prepared for mobility in Poland in various workshops.
During their mobility, the learners will discover various companies, will accomplish tasks pre-defined in the learning agreement signed by the participant as well as the organisation sending the pupils and the organisation hosting the pupils.
They will have the opportunity to discover the region of Grodzisk through cultural visits and will meet the pupils from the host-school, enabling them to exchange with young Polish people in English. The accompanying adults, who will supervise the pupils throughout their stay, will also be in contact with their tutors and will look for new training sites.
On their return from mobility, the pupils are to write a report which will be marked and the group ‘Project Erasmus +’ will communicate on their achievements. A specific schedule has been set, allowing us to reflect on the different stages of the project. Tools have been crafted to facilitate our reflection on the elaboration of the project. Our expectations concerning the participants are that they improve their professional and personal motivation, and develop their European spirit and employability. The accompanying adults are expected; as for them, to keep the project going and the school is expected to integrate a European network of schools and companies. Thus, the European spirit will gain momentum within the school and on its territory.
