Understand Social Inclusion with European's Youth Fusion

The mains aims of the project will be to introduce Europeans youth to the topics of social inclusion, to share them countries's realities about the issue, to improve them relationship skills and awareness of European society through non formal education. This youth exchange titled "Understand Social Inclusion with European's Youth Fusion" will be developped in the Can Parellada residence of Dianova España, at 25 km from Barcelona, Spain. The youth exchange will be developed from the 17th to 24th of Abril of 2016, with the participation of 42 young people: 6 participants (5+1 leader) from 6 partners from different countries, plus 6 participants (5+1 leader) from the host, over 7 days. The participants will come from backgrounds that have been linked with social inclusion (for example with volunteers activities), to contribute to integration and active participation of excluded and marginalised groups, or that have been linked with scocial problems, such as those who have dropped out of school, the long term unemployed and those lower on the socio-economic scale. Each group will be lead by a young person currently working in the field of social inclusion in order to provide direction to the young people and share best practice. The overall focuses of the project will be to explore, raise awareness of and fight barriers to social inclusion that are central to the participants, and to propound the cornerstone European values of solidarity and brotherhood.Participants will use non-formal methods to each research and discuss social inclusion and the factors that affect it within their own countries, then work together multi-nationally, using input from their own culture, to raise awareness of and address these issues and the methods in which problems may be resolved. This will be done using the art forms they prefer, thereby promoting and presenting their culture and at the same time becoming part of a larger group and tackling a wider issue. Additionally, time will be given each day towards self-reflection outside of the activities and for young people to approach any topics with staff that they may feel are too private for them to address with the whole group.During the project it will be dedicate two visit to the close centre of excluded and marginalised groups of Dianova España, placed in the same town of Can Parellada. The beneficiaries of the centre are people with economical/addiction/social problems that are in a rehabilitation process with the team of Dianova España. This activities it will be a shering experiences both for the young Europeans participants and for the beneficiaries of the centre. The end result of this self-discovery and social development will be a 10-15 minute filmed presentation from each group that addresses one of the issues of social inclusion. After the course, These final videos will offer an understanding of the way in which the constituent countries of the European Union can work together to break down barriers, whilst also celebrating and showcasing their beauty and passion. The films will then be disseminated to partners, relevant organizations and the participants themselves through as many different means as possible.The activities, which will last for one week, will be held in Can Parellada (Barcelona, Spain), a small village at 25km from Barcelona. The implementation of the project will be facilitated by the numerous accessible open spaces, the theatres of the residence and the natural enviromental.
