Una mirada europea a la cultura y tradición pirenaica

The project "An European view at the culture and tradition of the Pyrenees" is developed in the Alt Urgell, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. This region is distinguished by the low rate of population in a rural context, with deep-rooted traditions and a specific culture based on life in the mountains and the resources it provides.The objectives of this project are:- Promoting a sense of belonging to Europe and the opportunities this offers, especially for young people.- Enhancing the creativity of the participants basic skills and promote rural and regional culture.- Encourage the participation of young people and learning mobility, employability and personal development.Project participants must be open to new perspectives, should be dynamic, interested in European culture and a broader vision. At the same time they must remain open to group work, and providing new experiences and values.The activities proposed in this project are basically directed to knowledge and cultural dissemination and integration of the participants. All of them are developed in a cultural context (local museum, regional archives, traditional events ...) as well as disclosure territorial spaces (local radio, coffee languages, Office Jove ...)The methodology used to conduct the project is based on providing content partner organizations where participants develop their daily tasks. Before starting the project we so a calendar with the events and a list of tasks that participants must do. A map with the necessary logistics to develop the project also manufactures (housing, lunch, trainings ...)The results of the project and the impact are very rewarding. The associates is open to this project and consultations related to Europe and the EVS continue to rise, so that the impact is considered positive locally.The benefits of the project are based on placing our region on the European map, young people aware of the cultural diversity and multiculturalism in Europe.
