Una experiencia con la pedagogía Waldorf

Waldorf School Association of Villafranqueza (Coordinator, 2012-ES-110) is a nonprofit entity, belonging to the Waldorf school network Spain (www.colegioswaldorf.org) which in turn is integrated in the European Council Steiner Waldorf education (European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education) formed by 29 European countries. It is an Association with a school that follows the pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner Waldorf Schools as. This association is managed by parents and teachers to be an example of social and volunteer initiative, which promotes non-formal training and self-learning, self-education and social skills. In the nursery of Villafranqueza respecting the progress of each individual and promotes learning rhythms that are experienced both intellectually and artistically. This education respects the student's maturation process balancing and enhancing their intellect, artistic sensitivity and willingness to train them for the challenges of life. Each day of the week there are specific and rhythmic activities in the classroom with students an artistic activity: wax modeling, drawing, painting, kneading bread, and work with activities that promote concentration and expansion, creating an atmosphere of ordered liberty. The general spirit of the school allows children to feel part of a natural community, social and cultural development based on mutual respect. This project is an opportunity for volunteers to learn about the Waldorf pedagogy in early childhood education. Young volunteers will work both in the pedagogical aspects of the school, under the supervision of the teachers, as in the organizational accompanied association families. The volunteers will have the opportunity to accompany the students in their development and learning from respect for the individual, able to experience the festivities of the School, join them key point of contact between parents, teachers, and students where close collaboration, and harmony for the preparation thereof. This project allows the volunteer to gain skills to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in the field of social initiatives and specifically educational, developing the following competencies: - Knowledge of Waldorf pedagogy in childhood (ages 1-6 years). - Ability to relate in an educational setting. - Ability to participation, planning, and decision making in an environment based on teamwork, group dynamics application. - Work ability in organizational, development, monitoring and evaluation of activities. - Development of communication and creative skills. - Development of skills and attitudes of respect toward others, as well as to the environment - Proactive attitude towards the organization of homework. The activity lasts for nine months and is in collaboration between the member countries of the European Community, Spain as coordinator and host, and Austria, Germany and Italy as countries from where the volunteers come from.
