Un nouvel élan pour notre établissement : améliorer notre proposition éducative

The Ensemble Scolaire Saint Adrien takes around 200 students from primary to Secondary School. It is placed near Lille, a city to which it is easily to arrive (less than 3h by car or by train) from different main points of the North of Europe. Saint Adrien is a gathering of 124 schools (publics and privates) around the whole French country. We get used to work with students from every social origin and therefore a wide diversity. Thus, our main goal is to promote education for everybody, including those who are in need of this. In fact we provide the same opportunities no matter the country they belong, the social status or the beliefs. All our team is determined in promoting the equality, the respect from the other, the interculturality, cultural exchanges and at the same time, the European consciousness.The main goal of our project is the concept of life-long learning, a key factor of every educational system carried out in the different Nordic countries, which we incorporate in our program. Our linguistic planning for the students starts therefore in primary school, which will be continued during all the educational years and which will be useful for developing their competences at a linguistic, cultural and intercultural level. This process could be finally certificated by Certlingua, which is an important European tool for evaluating a durable knowledge acquisition and for evaluating quality as regards language learning and interculturality. It will allow conduct the students through a path of linguistic and cultural diversity so that it can be a great opportunity to open their minds into the mobility.This project is carried out at a global level and it will demonstrate the dimensions of our school and the educational procedures. We have created a committee which will approve the different projects related to our objective. Each 2 years, 5 people of our staff will make mobility for a period between 3 to 10 days. Therefore, the observation of other educative systems will allow 2 counselors of education to observe the way the scholar procedure is organized. Also it is a great opportunity for our principal to discover the way school affairs are managed, as well as to allow more than 10 people (teachers from primary and secondary school overall) to increase their knowledge in their subject in a foreign language and to develop their competences by means of the observation of different courses.Some examples of our interests are the evaluation of not only linguistic competence, but also the communicative, interactional, strategic and intercultural capacities or competences. On the other hand we would also like to learn more about the projects of European mobility our students are working in, as well as to observe the interdisciplinary and the relationship child/parents/teacher. In addition we also consider important the fact of encouraging autonomy, responsibility and organization of our students in the school.All our team would be involved: the informatics team will create a discussion forum. Each participant will make a “dossier of mobility”, and therefore will create a budget and will participate in the writing of our project. A program of activities will be carried out with the host school. All experiences will be shared in order to transfer innovative pedagogic procedures to our school, so the experimentation of new methods will allow developing our professional procedures. All the participants must develop their knowledge and also their didactic and pedagogic strategies, as well all organizational and management skills to promote an intercultural atmosphere.Firstly, each student should make their own path according to their aspirations and needs. They will obtain better results on languages and they will get a global approach to the language, by discovering the new competences which will allow them to promote an especial desire for continuing their studies in a European framework.The impacts will affect all our school: we would like to move into an international environment. We would like that these experiences can be also shared and promoted into other establishments. The pedagogical week, the formation of the interns and the General Assembly are already forecasted for this transmission of knowledge in order to be spread around the 124 different headquarters.
