The project 'Teachers' ICT and language abilities the key to educational students' success' will be conducted by Szkoła Podstawowa z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi nr 82 im. Jana Pawła II w Warszawie between 1st June 2016 – 31st May 2018.PROJECT'S AIMSThe aim of the project is to increase teachers', students' and parents' competences as well as the quality of school's performance. By taking part in trainings, the participants will enrich their skills in the scope of improving their communicative proficiency as well as implementing their ICT skills in the process of teaching and learning. Another important aim of the project is to enable the wider use of ICT technologies so that students have the chance to expand their knowledge using different tools by means of innovative methods. By concentrating on the individualization of the educational and pedagogical process with the support of new educational and communication technologies, the project will support students with special needs. It is important to counteract against students' early school leaving already at the level of a primary school. The project will enable better cooperation between teachers benefiting efficient communication with parents. Foreign and specialized ICT language courses will help gain foreign contacts which could result in possible future projects.The project will improve better cooperation and exchanging experiences between teachers, students and parents as well as between those schools which are interested in developing new teaching and communication methods.THE NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTSThe number of participants will be 7 teachers. These will be early childhood education teachers, science teachers and special education teachers, who support our school in the psychological and pedagogical area. The participants are skillful at using computers, interactive boards and various audiovisual tools. They have the required knowledge, qualifications and skills necessary to participate effectively and efficiently in this kind of project. They are leaders of different kinds of educational and pedagogic changes. They are highly motivated and ready to fulfill the leaders' tasks not only at school but also in the local community.ACTIONS AND METHODOLOGYIt is assumed that teachers will participate in foreign and specialized language courses that will be focused on using ICT in the process of teaching and learning. Thanks to the mobilities the school will improve the quality of its teaching performance. The teachers will have the chance to improve their professional competences, gain international experience, develop and improve new contacts with other foreign teachers. Special education teachers will also have the chance to develop their English language skills by taking part in language courses. RESULTS, INTERACTION, BENEFITSThe project will result in improving the school's performance. The participants will improve their language and ICT skills in the process of teaching and learning. It will have a positive effect on the quality of teaching and mutual cooperation of teachers at school. Moreover, it will help strengthen the school's position on the national and international educational level. It will enable and make it easier for the school to take part in future international projects.
