UK Young Ambassadors
Date du début: 1 janv. 2016, Date de fin: 30 juin 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project aims to give young people in the UK the opportunity to get their voices heard and influence both UK and European decision-making.Structured Dialogue is a structured and inclusive process in getting young people directly influencing European and UK youth policy. It involves consultations with young people and youth organisations at all levels in EU Member States and at EU level during the EU Youth Conferences organised by each EU Presidency country. Structured Dialogue is implemented in work cycles of 18 months that have a common overall thematic priority and are divided into three rounds of consultations. In 2010, BYC we were invited by the UK Government to form the National Working Group for Structured Dialogue and to manage Structured Dialogue process with UK young people. Now, coming up to it's 5th cycle, Structured Dialogue in the UK is ever strengthening with a focus on delivering change rather than just taking part in the process. The project will support 12 UK Young Ambassadors to deliver UK wide consultations with at least 3000 young people. They will work with other young people to deliver and manage the consultation across the UK and in the Devolved Nations. The young people will be trained in EU policy making, consultation, peer support, representation, media and filmmaking, intercultural dialogue and youth leadership. The Ambassadors will manage and develop the consultation themselves using a variety of methods, analyse the results and write a UK youth report that outlines the UK recommendations based on the findings of their research. They will then attend the EU Presidency Youth Conferences where they will share their outcomes with other young people and policy makers across the EU. After the conferences, the Ambassadors present the outcomes to key UK decision and policy makers at the National Working Group meetings. The UK Young Ambassadors will then disseminate the outcomes through a variety of creative activities across the UK and lobbying UK and European Parliament. The project will have an impact on thousands young people across the UK and Europe via the BYC/Partner communication networks and face to face activities and influence on youth policy.
