The project Üks Tund Sisekosmoses (One Hour In Inner Space) will be carried out by a group of people involved with acting, some of them working for NGO Altermann which helps to develop acting skills. The goal of the project is to make young people more aware of art and creativity and bring them closer to the whole process of creating art, thus discussing topics regarding different social problems, freedom, democracy and equality.The project Üks Tund Sisekosmoses involves volunteer workers who will be given training in how to work as a team and who will meet with different cultured young people from the municipality of Tartu. Sise Kosmos (Inner Space) will be built in the 5 rooms of the basement of youth centre Lille Maja in Tartu and the construction will be completed as of the beginning of November 2012.Üks Tund Sisekosmoses will take place between November 5th and December 10th. Up to 3 groups of up to 15 visitors will be serviced during weekdays. Youngsters will be attending the event either with their school teachers or with their friends out of their own spare time. We are prepared to receive approximately 900 visitors during the project.[outlines of the story]Space explorers who live on a neutral planet pick up some weird signals originating from the edge of the galaxy. Worried citizens of another planet decide to ask for the scientists' help to find out the reason behind the signals. The scientists quickly put together an exploration team (10-15 people). The team is sent out to the the edge of the galaxy and they travel for years.First RoomThe team arrives at an asteroid belt. One of the asteroids houses a colony of fugitives and outlaws. The underlying theme of the story relates to themes of guilt, justice and regret. At some point the colony gets destroyed and the team leaves.Second RoomThe research team’s ship is between a gas giant and it’s moon. There is a machine trapping the team in a dream world filled with fears. Eventually, the team understands that they are in a simulation and after turning off the dream-device they take it with them.Third RoomOn the way to a planet filled with different fauna and flora the ship gets attacked by some unfriendly aliens. The ship security successfully deals with the threat and the research team learns the reasons behind the maddened attack from the memories of the aliens. They found about harsh social and political conditions on the aliens’ homeworld pushing them towards a criminal way of life.Fourth RoomThe team arrives at the planet of plant and animal life and discover some local tribes who speak of an ancient fallen civilization. The natives guide them to a huge network of underground dungeons and catacombs.Fifth RoomIn the dungeons the team finds the source of the transmissions and an ancient being who is relaying these signals. The Ancient One has an important message about how the human society can save itself from itself.
