TERMINÉ
The main aim of our project was to develop a competitive position of the participants on the labor market. It was achieved through the realization of specific objectives:
- development of vocational qualifications desired at the local and regional labor market
- getting to know the foreign language at a communicative level
- getting to know the culture and customs of the receiving country
These aims are coherent with the aims of the Erasmus+ program, such as:
- raising the level of key competences and skills adjusted to the labor market needs
- broadening the international dimension to training and education.
- improving language skills and promoting the European linguistic and cultural diversity as well as raising the intercultural awareness
While realizing the project we applied our methodology developed while organizing the previous projects, adequate to the principles and to the needs of the project. The documentation was compiled from the initial stage of the project (drawing up the fundamental principles) until the last one, which includes dissemination process and administrative closure of the project. Each project team member had his scope of duties clearly specified.
The participants of the project was the students of second, third and fourth class of technical school in the following specializations: hotel technician, gastronomy and nutrition technician, food technology technician, waiter and technician economist, 68 interns in total.
After the end of recruitment process, wide-ranging cultural and linguistic and pedagogical preparatory classes started. After its completion participants went abroad on 3-week internships. Three groups went to Italy and the other three – to Spain. Each of them numbered 17 interns and 2 tutors.
After the end of internship program and come back to school, the participants filled in the reports in the online system and prepared the presentations presenting the results of the project.
The last stage of the project was the final conference. It does not mean, however, that the project ended in this point. We assume that its results will influence on students for a long time at professional and personal level.

Soft result:
- acquisition of additional vocational and linguistic qualifications

- raising the participants’ professional and personal aspirations
- higher motivation to learn among the students
- increasing the level of dutifulness and self-discipline
- getting to know the culture, customs and history of the receiving country
- developing tolerant attitude and acceptance for different customs and code of conduct
- developing the school recognition
The material results are the following:
- collection of photos and films, taken and made by the participant of the project showing their work abroad and other stages of the project
- presentations showing the project – prepared by each group of students separately
- materials compiled thanks to the evaluation process
The internships resulted in the higher degree of students self dependence, self-esteem, self confidence and personal development. Team work in the international environment contributed to better understanding of the value of cultural diversity in Europe.
We assume that having observed the changes in participants’ attitude and skills, other students will be encouraged to make efforts to broaden their theoretical and practical background, as well as gain professional experience before completion of technical secondary education.
Each partner of the project broadened their knowledge, developed skills and gained experience, needed while acting at the international level. The school’s representatives and representatives of the partner got to know people brought up in the different culture, which should stimulate their sensitivity for intercultural dialogue issues, customs diversity and diverse code of conduct in the European countries.
Thanks to the realization of the project, our school gained experience in international cooperation and strengthened its recognition among young people, which should result in more efficient recruitment process.
