Zamość, where our school is located, is the capital of the county and there are about 60 000 inhabitants. The town is focused on development of tourism and education. It is located in the agricultural, poorly industrialized region , it’s about 70 kms from the Polish Eastern border. The project "Learn and teach" will be implemented by Zespół Szkół Nr 3 in Zamość, which is a public school gathering students from different backgrounds-educated and ambitious but also pathological. The need to cope with this situation and securing the proper level of teaching at school and at the same time preventing students from premature falling out of the education system is a huge challenge for teaching staff. The teachers must have high methodical, linguistic and ICT competences. The main goal of this project is to increase the mobility of school teaching staff and to enhance the quality of work in our school by improving the linguistic skills and ICT knowledge. By implementing the project activities the participants will enhance their professional profile. Bearing in mind the need to achieve these goals, searching for partners on the eTwinning platform began. At the same time the project work plan, the activities schedule and draft budget were introduced. When the receiving schools were found, we started to fill in the application form. 10 teachers, from Zespół Szkół Nr 3 - junior high school and primary school, teaching different subjects will take up an English language course, computer course on the usage of the eTwinning platform and cultural course – these will be the preparatory activities. At schools abroad they will get to know the specificities and conditions of working at foreign schools (seminars, observation of the lessons and school activities), they will enrich their experience and methodological techniques (job shadowing), they will improve language and ICT skills. Besides, they will strengthen their professional competence and intercultural communication skills. This will also strengthen their position in the working environment and at the same time it will increase their own activity and mobility. The higher qualifications of the participants of the project will have an impact on the quality of the work of the school. It will encourage other school staff members to learn foreign languages and information technology. It will encourage and dare other teachers to make use of the opportunities offered by such projects and trips. Project activities will be monitored in the area of its implementation and quality, and at the end of the project its evaluation will be carried out. The project products (such as reports, surveys, presentations, photos, lesson plans) will be disseminated on the eTwinning platform, project website and in the local media.
