Summary The project “ Learning through work experience in the EU” , which was created on the very good bases of the previous partnership in the project within the programme Leonardo da Vinci, focuses on helping students use their professional and language skills in real life experience and at the same time extend the skills by participating in training placements in European countries and this way to improve their proficiency and future opportunities in the labour market. The teachers, who are also the participants of the project thanks to the new rules within the programme Erasmus, will meet Irish teachers and companies emploees who use IT technologies to improve teaching and presentation skills. They will have an opportunity to compare using their IT skills in the process of teaching to the skills of the teachers in Ireland which is one of the highly developed countries in this area. They will also improve their language skills and will get some new ideas how to use modern IT equipment including e-learning. All that they will later use in the process of teaching especially in special subjects The second and third year students of all fields of study of the school will participate in this project. The project involves four schools in France, Luxembourg , Austria and Ireland. During the two years´ time 24 students will participate in this project (8 students in France, 8 students in Luxembourg and 8 students in Austria). They will take part in language and cultural preparation and later they will be placed in some companies in the countries mentioned for the practical training. Communication will be in English and German languages, at French and Luxembourgish departments students can speak French. For the students we will organize a preparatory course before leaving for the particular country. The course will consist of language, cultural and psychological and practical parts, and it will take place one month before starting the working experience. The other group of participants will consists of 15 teachers who will go to Ireland to get some experience. They will communicate in English. Main aims: Students will get to know the economy of the particular country as well as the operation and the management of foreign companies. The mobility will improve personal competencies, knowledge of management, logistics, transportation, supplies, marketing, administration and funding. It will contribute to knowledge and comparison of working processes in foreign companies, information about transportation network ( its density, condition, management and connection to neighbouring countries), better knowledge of logistics operations in foreign companies, an improvement of technical and general foreign language, knowledge of life in the particular region, and acquisition of new contacts. The study stay will help students find their position in the labour market. This study stay is a significant contribution for our students and can considerably help them find a new job in other countries of the EU and the Czech Republic. We consider this project as a way to improve the educational process and to start our graduates´ career, and their complex development. The teachers will improve their use of modern educational equipment and they will deepen their IT knowledge. During the stay in Irealnd they will visit various secondary schools and will see IT technologies in the process of education. They will also visit IT departements of some other educational institutions . They will take part in lessons and will talk to Irish teachers and this way they will have an opportunity to compare teaching methods at our school to those in Irealand as well as to compare the curriculums in both countries.
