The project “Teacher+“ aims at qualifying teachers - members of the teacher staff - at the Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School „Acad.Boyan Petkanchin“, how to integrate in practice as well as methodologically the new technologies in order to provide better education for students, to raise teacher’s foreign language competences and to develop their teaching methods in foreign language classes. This project will have direct impact on the education of children and young people at our school. Its objectives include widening of opportunities to establish international relations through education and working out of European projects, enlarging the teacher’s social competences, used in their direct work with children, young people and adults at school, considering their rights and dignity. Improving the quality of education, educational innovations and high achievements are the main priorities of our school, included in this project, corresponding to the specific objectives of the programme Erasmus + with respect to education. The inclusion of new technologies in our everyday life requires their adequate utilization within the education process. As a result of modernization of our school environment and the provision of new equipment that finished at the beginning of 2015 the necessity of additional methodological preparation of the teacher staff for integration of new technologies in education has become obvious. The new school working methods are based on continuous training, shared experience and good practices which require their purposeful search and proper integration, with the support of experts from different countries. The necessity to gain training in multicultural courses, attended by experts from different countries, to develop language competences of teachers and indirectly the students’ communication skills, can be achieved with the participation in European qualification courses, which ensures direct contact with colleagues from different cultures, developing and participating in European projects for education development and for intercultural dialogue. 12 teachers from the school will take part in these qualification mobility courses included in the project “Teacher+“. After the completion of the mobilities the project beneficiaries will hold seminars, training sessions, small group discussions with all the other 39 teachers – members of the teacher staff. We expect that the implementation of the project „Teacher+“ will have direct impact on the whole teacher community, will contribute to the participants’ professional and language development, will widen the range and application of new teaching practices for all teachers and students. This project will improve the foreign language skills, communication and social skills of all sides, included in the academic process, providing opportunities for international cooperation – finding partners and gaining new knowledge and experience to develop European training projects.
