The project „ Learning for life- transfer of knowledge,skills and competencies“ has emerged as our school's necessity to develop additional skills and competencies which would make pupils more independent and direct them towards a wide range of careers which would make them more competitive in the labour market. With that, they will become responsible members of the society capable of leading productive and independent lives. Pupils will develop and carry out the stated skills and competencies through extracurricular activities, e.g. home economics and enterpreneurship. The main aim is the improvement of our teaching staff in those subjects in order to transfer the skills and competencies to our pupils. The primary school „Antun Kanižlić“ shows the willingness and interest for improving the school and its curriculum and promotes lifelong learning, cooperation and humaneness. Consistently with the developmental plan, the school has assessed the need and possibilities of advance in the fields of bio-technology and humanities and in acquiring practical experience and the development of language competencies. In order to acquire the experience and knowledge it is necessary to see the examples of good practice of Home Economics and Enterprenurship. The above mentioned changes are impossible to conduct without the education of the teaching and non-teaching staff.Since the Croatian educational system doesn't provide the implementation of Home Economics as an optional subject ,job shadowing is a necessity in schools which have these subjects integrated in their curricula. By educating the teaching staff, the williningness and interest for the improvement of our school and curriculum is shown. With the mobility experience, the teachers will be able to compare and assess their work and efficiency. An invaluable experinece will be acquired which will enable the development of Home Economics and Enterpreneuership plan and program within the curriculum. The emphasis is placed upon mobility forms and methods of work in the implementation of school curriculum in Malta, and to methods of linking theoretical practical knowledge of pupils.In order to achieve this, it is necessary to observe and analyze the methodical approach of the teaching process in the host country, to develop techniques and procedures of evaluation of pupils, to introduce innovative working methods, application and evaluation of self-evaluation, and to expand the language and social skills. Seven teachers of different school subjects were selected to reach the project goals. The selected teachers should adopt and develop the capability of organising Home Economics and Entrepreneurship classes, then to further develop the skills of cooperative learning among teaching staff and indirectly among students, to develop opennes to new ideas and methods of work, to improve communication skills in a foreign language and the use of ICT to improve the teaching process.Pupils will have multiple benefits from the introduction of innovative and attractive content: raised level of education, the acquisition of new key skills, greater self-confidence, a sense of entrepreneurship and taking initiative. These benefits will be of particular importance to pupils with special educational needs because it will develop additional skills according to their abilities, and it will increase their self-confidence as well as expand the range of choices, future career and further education. The school will be able to integrate good practice into its daily activities. Furthermore, the school will boost its development of the European dimension through international cooperation, as well as a sense of belonging to the EU standards and it will improve the school's recognizability. We will set an example of good practice for the transfer of knowledge and experience of the Erasmus+ mobility to other schools in the local community. By working on this project through international cooperation, the partner will also increase its European dimension, develop tolerance towards other cultures, enhance competence and encourage other schools to participate in this form of cooperation. This project will enable the development of extracurricular activities which would then enable the school to become the contributor for the incoming mobilty in the future. Qualified teachers will be able to present their teaching and extracurricular activities, while the advanced level of English will enable teaching process and workshops in that language also. The experience acquired from a different education system will improve the work with pupils, and dissemination of knowledge will provide progress for other teachers, too. By presenting the acquired knowledge and skills we will present the examples of good practice in European schools. This project will be continued in further KA1 teaching assignment and KA2 projects in areas related to this project.
