The project TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE aims to include one more EVS volunteer in the activities of the Family center in Usti nad Orlici. We will work with two partner sending organizations, one from Estonia and one from Slovakia. The volunteers will work with preschool kids in the Family center and aid running a leisure time kids club for white and Roma kids from dysfunctional families (crime prevention program). The main values of the project is the love to the children/youth and joy from volunteering work. We want the EVS volunteers to join the Czech youth volunteering team and bring its own new fresh ideas and creativity into the life of the Family center and the kid´s club. We offer a long term volunteering (12 month) in order to have enough time for relationship building, language learning, developping a personal project and planning follow-up projects between the Czech, Slovak and the Estonian youth groups. The volunteers involved in this project will learn how to work together during a 6 months long period of their mutual service and learn how to be self-sufficient and responsible during the other 6 months, when they will be on their own. The volunteers are going to use non-formal teaching methods, use music, sports and outdoor activities and their personal creative gifts to take part on the Family center / kids club activities and join the teams of the Family center youth volunteering group.
