Most of people are exposed to one or another fear: fear of flying, fear of closed spaces, fear to stay alone, fear of loss, fear of heights, fear of open spaces, etc. Fear - an emotion, which occurs in the event of external or internal treats to human health, them life, them waiting of evilness or uncertainty. One of the more common types of fear - stage fright, is facing the people of different professions, from musicians to actors and entrepreneurs, managers or teachers. Stage fright can be not only for people who have little contact with one or another presence in public, but also for people who are in public everyday. Uncontrolled or excessive stage fright can cause not only discomfort, but also to make a lot difficulties to employ in needed job, resulting to a successful career and build a meaningful life model to be complete, self-confident and fluently speaking citizen."Turn Around" - this is a youth exchange project, which aimed to take a look at yourselves and your stage fright. We analysed simple and well-known stage fright experienced by everyone who appears in public. This fear can cause discomfort, prevent or even ruin further human career. Since various fears provoke similar body factors, over all project, while we being practicing, we found out a ways how to overcome and to reconcile not only the scene but also other similar fears. Our organisation “Semeliškių bendruomenės iniciatyvos”, together with partners, have made considerable work of collecting the theoretical and practical information about stage fright, how to turn it into a scene of happiness and how successful get into the job and go for life goals briefly. We prepared and implemented various activities how to understand, to know and turn around to our fears. This “Turn Around” youth exchange project took a place for 7 days in a cozy Padumbles village, Trakai districts. The project involved a group of 40 young people from the Italy, Latvia, Turkey, Portugal and Lithuania. The project developed the communication skills, self-esteem, creativity, and independence of young people and young people with fewer opportunities from families going through economic, social, and psychological difficulties, to encourage active involvement in the activities organised by them, also to familiarise with different cultures as well as to create new cooperation networks and other aspects required in order to successfully dominate the modern labor market. Implemented project activities: seminars, workshops to reduce the fear and learn to manage it gradually, search for and use of information, creative activities, etc. The idea of “Turn around” project originated through the search for possibilities of how to help fight scene-public speaking fright caused inconvenience of employment and communicating, enable sharing knowledge and acquiring new experience not only through cooperation with Lithuanians, but also engaging youth from various countries. People say that youth is our future; therefore, we wish to in every possible way cherish, orient, and help young people to expand their horizon. By involving the neighbour countries in project activities it is aspired to promote cross-cultural communication and long-term cooperation of future Europe. Such activities were chosen for the implementation of this project for youth in different age groups and suffering from various types of difficulties to be actively engaged in such activities, acquire knowledge, share experience, develop esthetic perception and artistic expression skills, grow spiritually, as well as acquire the fundamentals of cultural competence. The project aimed at educating the feeling of solidarity and promoting tolerance in regard to different cultures, religions. Most of the project participants face various difficulties; therefore, reciprocal understanding encouraged among the participants especially with a view to strengthen social cohesion of the European countries. The participants had a chance to make self-assessment during the project. The goals of the project followed by self-assessment of the process and finally the participants themselves had to decide what benefit they got from this project, what they had expected and what they had implemented, as well as how this project benefited their further understanding. In order to ensure the spread of the project and the visibility of results, we used various information websites. Every participating organisation presented the project in its country and shared feedback and impressions in social networks as well as national agencies. These steps made sure the project is prominent and appreciated not only in Lithuania, but internationally as well.
