The Tuning project recognizes and responds to a number of general tendencies in higher education sector. The objectives of the proposed project will include: 1. Promotion and dissemination of Tuning methodology among Russian academic community (in particular in 7 subject areas - Economic, Law, Natural Sciences, Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Languages, Tourism and Social Work)2. Implementation and development of Tuning methodology in some Russian universities through Tuning CentresThe duration of the project is three years, starting on October 2010 to October 2013.The foreseen outcomes will be:- 3 national promotion and dissemination conferences. (Two during the first year and one in the third one).- Reference points and first and second cycle level descriptors for seven subject areas which cover broad academic fields (Economic, Law, Natural Sciences, Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Languages, Tourism and Social Work).- The establishment of around 12 Tuning Centres.- A framework for the use of the Tuning approach (methodology and tools) in all kinds of teaching and learning environments. - Production and distribution of Tuning dissemination material in Russian for information and implementation (brochures, reports, etc.). - 2 training short term seminars for managers and high quality teaching staff.- An extended user-friendly and interactive website (in both languages - Russian and English) in which it is easy to find the key documents and the Tuning general and subject-specific level descriptors and reference points for 7 subject areas.- A well established group of experts for information and counselling at Tuning Centre level.- Teaching materials for the preparation of learning outcomes and competences at programme and course level.The outcomes of the project are of relevance for all higher education institutions in Russia, as well as for all forms of education in a life long learning context.
