TRI-PODD- Theater Reaches Israel with People of different disciplines- was a trilateral youth exchange, which took place in November 2014 in Israel. Young Israelians where meeting with participants from Czech Republic and Germany. The idea came from a theater workshop in 2012 with participants Berlin, Prague and Tel Aviv. In workshops on the fields of theater / dance 20 participants with partly artistic background met for 2 weeks and conveyed their knowledge and best-practice methods. The thematic framework was the contemporary Jewish life and the work of young artists from all 3 nations. Participants excecuted activities of different shapes in their self-generated program: from peer-to-peer workshops on presentations, discussions, surveys, international evenings, video screenings and an open workshop day for interested people outside the project. The aim of the project was to meet the urgent need of young people to expand their experiences through a cultural exchange in different disciplines and in an informal setting and fulfill their desire for personal growth. This involved projects to learn new artistic forms, to test their own skills in the teaching of methods and thematically deal with the Jewish tradition and the modern context. The project also wanted to achieve a ripple effect in the immediate vicinity of all participants and to build a sustainable network of young creative people. As a direct results the network got even closer , which resulted in a renewed journey of the Czech team to Israel in February 2015 and a visit by the team from Israel in Berlin in April this year. Currently a subsequent application to a Youth Exchange in September 2015 Israel is running.
